Resum turns voice notes into text on your iPhone. This page says exactly what happens to your data. It is short because there is not much to say.

Your voice notes and their text never leave your device

When you share a voice note into Resum, the audio is read, transcribed and summarised entirely on your iPhone, using Apple's on-device speech recognition and Apple Intelligence. The audio, the transcript and the summary are never uploaded, never sent to us, and never sent to anyone else. We run no server that could receive them, so there is nothing for us to store, read, hand over or lose.

Transcripts and summaries are saved in the app's own storage on your device. Deleting a note removes it. Deleting Resum removes all of them.

Resum does not record audio. It reads only the files you explicitly share into it, and the temporary copy it makes is deleted as soon as processing ends.

What does leave the device

Purchases. If you buy Resum Pro, the purchase is handled by Apple. We use RevenueCat to check whether a subscription is active. RevenueCat receives the purchase event and an anonymous identifier generated for your installation. It does not receive your name, your email address, your Apple ID, or anything at all from your voice notes. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

That is the only network request Resum makes.

No analytics. Resum contains no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no crash reporter of ours, and no tracking of any kind. We do not know how many voice notes you summarise, in which language, or whether you open the app at all.

Language models

The speech models Resum uses are downloaded from Apple by iOS itself, the same way any Apple app downloads them. That exchange is between your device and Apple. We are not part of it and receive nothing from it.

Children

Resum is not directed at children and collects nothing that could identify anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
